These rods were taken from Mackenzie’s very successful Perflex range of medium-priced rods, they made this range to be similar but advanced with state of the art developments using high-grade carbon we have produced a very lightweight rod, that retains plenty of power, the SLP rods have a medium progressive action which will cast all modern-day Shooting head and Skagit systems as well as Spey lines with ease, giving you a blend of feeling and power when needed.

13’4 #8 This rod is a very popular size nowadays, for all medium sized rivers or larger rivers in lower water conditions, the medium progressive action allows easy casts with all modern day shooting head systems and Spey lines, at very close range in low water summer condition or at distance when needed

14’5 #9 This size of rod is getting increasingly popular, with a lot of people coming down from larger 15ft rods to something that is lighter and more manageable, like the slightly shorter version this rod has a medium progressive action, but this one retains slightly more reserve of power, when needed for fishing larger rivers or in colder water conditions when sinking lines and large flies are needed.
